CT SHUSH MANAGER JAMIE FISHER WRITES ABOUT HIS TEAM'S LOSS TO GNP SPORTS...

CT SHUSH: REARGUARD ACTION...

"Firstly I would like to say well done to GNP; it’s clear to see why they are sitting at the top of the pile with the quality they possess.

We are realists and came into this game expecting very little due to the form of both teams but still felt we could stifle the game and maybe get a chance on the break.

In the first-half we rode our luck as GNP had some good chances but we know our keeper is a good shot-stopper and the lads were willing to put their bodies on the line.

At 0-1 we had two chances of our own (our striker won the ball high up the pitch and tried to lob the 'keeper and the 'keeper makes a top-drawer save from a header at a corner.) I feel if we had taken one of those we could have ruffled their feathers.

This was not to be and in the second-half they were far more clinical and as the game got stretched they picked us off and were deserved 0-4 winners.

We will roll up our sleeves and pull up our socks and go again next week against a solid AFC Solihull side..."
