Seated at a small, rustic table
En plein air, a cold beer
Clasped and coveted,
Drawn to the tranquility
Across the amber sable…
Imagine:
The mind untethered,
As sinewy spirals seethe
Within the breast, tears gathered,
An inability to breathe
And feeling exalted, unfettered, yet riveted
To the emotion, the implausible fable,
As joy and an indeterminate peace weave
Solace to a soul, gnarled and weathered…
