COVENTRY UNITED'S JOSH BLAKE & HARRY BARNES REVIEW THE SEASON...

EVEN THE DEFENDER SEEMS AMAZED THAT BLAKEY HAS ACTUALLY PASSED THE BALL...

"The lads went into today's game with nothing on our minds but to win & to put on a good performance for our travelling fans but the first-half was anything but that, we found ourselves having to cover plenty of ground needlessly & having to counter attack which we don't normally do.
But a bit of O'Tricky magic and a quality free kick gave us the lead at half-time.

A change in shape at the break worked wonders & we controlled the game from then on. Fair play to Studley, they are a good strong team and didn't lie down but our quality came through in the end to get a convincing 3-0 victory, which in truth could have been a few more.

On a personal note I was over the moon to get on the score sheet: 'Feed the Rat & He Will Score!' Credit must also go to our defence, for these last few weeks we haven't looked like conceding & with the attacking power we have, we are always going to nick a goal or 5.

In summing up the season I would have to say it's been remarkable & to win it at our first attempt proves what a good team we are. Massive credit to all the lads, we stuck together to get the job done & the whole squad has been used to the max'.

Fair play to Terry for finishing the job Edwin started and he's done a great job; also massive credit to Edwin for getting us into that position.

Lastly, all the lads would like to thank the fans for their brilliant support!!

Exciting times ahead!!

The Rat lives on!!!"

HARRY ATTEMPTS TO PUT ON A TRACK-TOP WITHOUT USING HIS HANDS...

"Yesterday started with what was probably my favourite ever moment in football. As we'd got into the changing rooms, Martin Hutchcox decided he'd hook up to our speaker by wifi for some music - but decided he was going to connect to the Studley speaker in their changing room (which was on and loud) and blast out "We Are The Champions" by Queen. Could be heard all the way outside with the fans!

Martin had somehow bettered this in a dance-off with Pierre Moudime and Richard Morris (video on my Twitter), when after Mozza absolutely embarrassed Pierre, only to be followed by Martin appearing out of nowhere completely naked doing the worm on a cold, hard, muddy and wet changing room floor.

The game itself in all honesty wasn't the best, both entertainment wise and quality wise. Josh O'Grady scored a quick free kick, Josh Blake scored from a one-on-one and Coxy scored a quality left-footed half-volley.

Really rated the Studley facilities and the hospitality was great, which even included a guard of honour from them as we went back into the changing-rooms which was really appreciated.

It's been an amazing season again and all made possible not just by those that you see on the pitch every week but the unbelievable hard work by Secretary Graham Wood (that's £10 please) and the 4 owners. This also extends to the people who work hard in the supporters club making everybody's lives easier and raising money. Terry and Luke have stepped up from a great job Edwin had done and 8 clean sheets from 10 games with our new formation is unreal. Fans as always very loyal all season, as well as The Mowdog for being there most games and recording...

See you all Tuesday!"
