LONG EATON UNITED 'KEEPER CHARLIE HORNBY COMMENTS ON THE 2-2 DRAW v LOUGHBOROUGH UNIVERSITY...

CHARLIE HORNBY: A GOOD GAME IN GOALS FOR LONG EATON...

"We didn't play our best today; it was hard due to the conditions. The pitch was very heavy which stopped us playing how we wanted to and we were playing against a very fit team, which kept running for 90 mins-plus.

I would say the result was fair; we had some chances, but not many clear-cut chances, they also had some good chances which they didn't take.

Towards the end of the first-half Loughborough finally realised how to use their big centre forward and then played off him for the rest of the game. We were able to stop them playing to him at times but as the game went on it was harder, as thy had more energy.

Some good performances today: Josh Raven and Danny Brain had good games, also so did Rob McCormick and Paul Lister who did well to deal with Jason Davis up front for Loughborough, who was a handful in the second-half.

We worked hard throughout the game and it was a shame we didn't get over the line..."
