Racing Club Warwick's new signing JOSH O'GRADY comments on the team's 1-3 win at Stafford Town:
"Going into the game off the back of a good run we were very confident of getting the 3 points against Stafford but I felt that they were probably the better team for the opening 15 minutes and they created a couple of decent opportunities.
We soon got hold of the game though and had far more of the possession with some neat combination plays, resulting in a few half-chances for Luke and Kav up top.
A goal was coming and after I slipped the ball through for Powelly, he coolly finished past the oncoming Stafford keeper to make it 1-0.
The dominance continued and after some good link-up play from Powelly and Kav, he beat their centre-half and slotted the ball into the bottom corner for a comfortable 2-0 lead.
Frustratingly we probably got a bit complacent and allowed Stafford to get back into the game right before half-time with such a sloppy goal to give away. This put the game in the balance at half-time and we knew we'd have to come out firing in the second-half, as the next goal was crucial.
Luckily for us it came with Kav scoring his second of the game from an unlikely source: his head...
Getting the two goal cushion was enough for us to see out the game and in the end it could have been a few more, had it not been for some good saves by the Stafford 'keeper..."
