| AFTER THE GOAL FEAST... |
"After last week penalty heroics versus Boldmere, our focus quickly shifted to Leamington and another three cherries up for grabs.
Leamington's recent three results, winning or losing by a single goal was a big improvement from their results earlier on in the season so the message all week really was to focus on the process of what was needed to keep a clean sheet and put real pressure on their goal throughout the game instead of thinking about the result. This served us well!
The players were fantastic from start to finish and a result like Saturday's has been on the cards for the last 2/3 weeks. We reminded the players that they are the same team that put 13 & 9 past teams in pre-season and all they had to do was to be patient, work for each other & focus on the process and the performance would follow...
The boys need to remember whilst Saturday was fantastic, they've had their weekend of pats on the backs which they have deserved, but now all focus is on Castle Vale and going to their back yard as we attempt to win another 3 points which won't be easy, as all teams want to put one over us...
