Two Badgers & A Warwickshire Sunset…
A ruffling breeze cooled the dusk
Along the narrows of a Warwickshire lane;
The myriad choruses of sunset birds rang, unseen
Upon silhouetted sinister clawing trees, reaching
For an amber April sky in vain…
A lifted verge hardened to dust
Along the slender, quiet Warwickshire byway;
The busy snuffles of two badgers foraged, barely seen
Amongst twisted scrub beside their sett, searching
For sustenance, disregarding their hideaway…
I watched, I filmed, surprised.
I barely moved, undisguised.
They sensed my presence in the breeze,
Yet both seemed wholly at their ease…

This was a surprise…
JUST BEFORE THE BADGERS APPEARED... |
Two badgers were happy to eat, despite the breeze revealing my presence.
Loved that…
