Mousehole: Blood Sky At Night…
Like an inferno turned blood red
By a wild wind, the Mousehole sky,
Moody and ill tempered from a recent storm,
Burned around two pillars of vertical flame
And the remnants of bulked grey cloud were torn awry…
Like a conflagration turned dull red
By a mirky dusk, the Mounts Bay sky,
Constricted and hampered by a thunderstorm,
Turned to charcoal and doused the flames
And their remnants of congealed blood was rent awry…

After a nasty thunder and lightning storm over Mounts Bay from early evening on 18th June 2022, by around 21.30 hours, the sky had turned totally red.
Folks ran from several caravans in a cold wind to photograph the phenomenon.
After the storm, it was as if the evil weather had been torn asunder and kindled by a miraculous setting sun…
