COVENTRY UNITED'S BRIAN 'The Messiah' NDLOVU writes about the 1-5 victory @ Pershore Town...

"I think the game should not have been played due to the conditions but the officials made the decision, so it was game on. The play was a bit scrappy with both teams trying to play passing football but the pitch was not having it. Credit to Pershore, they got  us pinned back for periods of the game in the first-half.
This was our first game in almost a month, so most of the players were a bit off the pace. The quality of our players soon paid off though. We turned up the pressure on them and soon got a penalty, they had a player sent off and it was always going to be an uphill struggle for them. Blythe started the goal-fest, then Browny (we soon forgot the missed penalty, by the way) got the second.
Pershore pulled one back but only in vain, as in the second-half the floodgates were opened: O'Grady, Blakey (good to see him back with a bang) and Cox  all scored. It was a good performance from the team as a unit, all who got on the field and those on the bench.
Three points and we look forward to the next game.
The push for promotion goes on..."
