"We could not have got this game off to a worse start, conceding a goal after 3 minutes: one pass and the Folly Lane forward was through on goal and his shot gave Daniel Mallinson no chance: 0-1.
Folly Lane continued to take the game to us but we eventually started to work our way into the game and had a couple of efforts from Blake Kassar and Macca Richards saved by Mitchell Campbell.
Half time: 0-1.
The 2nd half again started with Folly Lane again on the front foot and they doubled their lead in the 51st minute when a sliced clearance fell to a Folly Lane forward who had no problems scoring from our mistake: 0-2.
We almost cut Folly Lane's lead in the 61st minute when a shot from Chay Kalym hit the crossbar and bounced clear.
66th minute: Malik Houade was replaced by Benny Morley.
67th minute: good work from Lloyd Pulford was finished off by Blake Kassar: 1-2.
76th minute: Folly Lane increased their lead: 1-3.
Hosein Khorami was replaced by Bradley Cuttiford.
79th minute: Folly Lane killed the game with their 4th goal of the game: 1-4.
88th minute: a Lloyd Pulford corner was bundled over the line by Blake Kassar for his 2nd goal of the game: 2-4.
90th minute: Folly Lane scored another goal after a mix up in our defence: 2-5.
Folly Lane then had a player sent off in added time.
Full Time: 2-5...
In summing up this game:
After conceding an early goal we were always chasing this game.
In a tight 1st half when there wasn't much between the two sides, both goalkeepers needed to make important saves.
In the 2nd half Folly Lane took their chances well and always had a comfortable lead to rely on.
Positives for me today: going forward we played some excellent football at times and on another day could have scored more than the two goals we got.
Negatives today: at times we could have moved the ball forward more quickly and of course our defending needed improving as a team.
I thought we were slowly getting rid of our mistakes but unfortunately today they came back to haunt us, big time.
I would like to wish Sean Sproul and his Folly Lane team all the best for the remainder of the season.
As for us, we are now entering a very important stage of our season and our main objective now is to start climbing the table. The last 5 months have gone by so quickly and it's now time for us to be showing everybody an improvement in my Brinklow side.
As we all know Football is all about getting results and i can definitely say we can improve in that department. However with 13 league games to go, if we can finish the season strongly, it will show that we are all heading in the right direction.
On to the next game..."
