'TWISTED LIZARD': POEM ABOUT LIZARD POINT CORNWALL...

Twisted Lizard

The dull turquoise
Of a profound and bold sea
Ducked under a curtain
Of mist;
Wrung,
Wrested and
Wrenched
Out of the unknown,
Below.

The white topping
Of a reaching and dauntless sea
Reared over its depth
Of power;
Tossed,
Trounced and
Thrashed
Onto the rocks,
Below.

The sinuous tumult
Of a wild and unpredictable sea
Twisted onto its collisions
Of movement;
Stretched,
Strained and
Spiralled
Over the fusion,
Below…

Stormy weather at The Lizard as the wind whipped up very heavy seas.
