AFC BINLEY'S MANAGER EDWIN GREAVES REPORTS ON HIS TEAM'S 2-2 DRAW v COVENTRY PLUMBING'S 2ND TEAM...

"Binley got the game underway and it wasn't long before we took the lead.

In the 10th minute Blake Kassar closed down the Plumbing defence to win the ball and Andy Godfrey crossed for Fabian Spence to score: 1-0.

Plumbing hit back almost straight away when Andy Godfrey misjudged the flight of the ball, so that Curtis Cutts ran through and lobbed Ryan Oldham: 1-1.

In the 23rd minute Ryan Oldham again was called into action with a fingertip save over his crossbar from a Plumbing corner.

In the 39th minute Blake Kassar and Fabian Spence linked up to force a great save from the Plumbing goalkeeper.

In the 40th minute great work from Tyler Morgan set up a chance for Blake Kassar who headed over.

Half-time AFC Binley 1-1 Coventry Plumbing...

Plumbing started the 2nd half but again we had a great opportunity to regain our lead in the 53rd minute. Tyler Morgan had a 1 on 1 chance but unfortunately for us the opportunity went begging.

In the 63rd minute a long kick forward from Ryan Oldham was chased down by Blake Kassar who made no mistake and scored from his opportunity: 2-1.

On 66 minutes Tyler Morgan was replaced by Jack Campbell-Watkins and on 75 minutes Fabian Spence was replaced by Kevin Clamp.

In the 81st minute Plumbing hit a post when we couldn't get the ball cleared.

On 82 minutes Kyle Metcalfe was replaced by Patsun Tufan.

Plumbing continued to attack and got the goal they deserved in the 96th minute when Curtis Cutts beat the defensive line and scored with a fine finish: 2-2.

With no time to restart the game, the referee blew for full-time.

In Summing Up This Game:

This was a much better team performance from the lads today and I couldn't fault their effort and workrate over 90 minutes.

This performance reminded me of the types of performances we were putting in last season, which pleases me greatly but I still think we can improve more.

Plumbing came back into the game twice and finished the stronger of the two sides and fully deserved their point.

I am obviously disappointed to have dropped 2 points with the last kick of the game, however over the 90 minutes we didn't do enough to win it and in truth a point gets our season going.

We now look forward to our next league game, away to Crick Athletic."
