Mohican
(a poem about Soar Mill Cove, Devon...)
Restrained, he strains,
His warrior’s neck to rise,
To catch a glimpse of the sea;
Face then turns towards autumnal skies,
His expression burning with anguish and stress:
Contained pain clear in sacrificial eyes…

A rocky outcrop at Soar Mill Cove, which looked like an American Native Mohican Indian, buried up to his neck as a sacrifice and attempting to lift himself to see the sea and maybe be rescued…
