BRINKLOW FC'S NATHAN STOUTE REPORTS ON HIS TEAM'S WIN v Rugby...

Nathan Stoute... OMG, so kool...
He said that.

"We looked strong in the first-half of play, creating a lot of chances down both flanks of the pitch; we had many shots too, creating chances at will but we were unable to hit the target.

We tested their 'keeper in the latter stages of the first-half, Blake won a number of ariel battles on set-pieces, narrowly missing the target. Craig, the skipper came close too and few times we threatened from corners but eventually just before the half-time whistle, a lovely passing move between Tom Ford and Nathan Ellis set up a chance for myself to burst into the area and drill a low cross to the back post where Paddy was there to break the deadlock coolly. Straight from kick-off the ref' blew for half time.

The second-half kicked off with substitutes being used by both sides and the introduction of Lascelles was a positive move as he straight away showcased his pace and dribbling skills, creating an early chance.

Soon afterwards a lovely weighted ball to Blake saw him finish well.

The introduction of Scott, aka 'Hughy' was revived well by the fans and his impact was immediate, making some nice interceptions, but then Rugby Town's own replacements paid off, when their speedy forward avoided several tackles to run through and finish well.

Brinklow responded well, pressing the ball and then creating chances and in quick time responded to restore the two-goal lead, after another great passing move that Rugby Town simply stood and watched.

But again Rugby Town hit back and again the speedy forward for the visitors glided past defenders to slot home his second goal. Brinklow then kept the ball and kept possession well to win the game."
