QUENTIN TOWNSEND, PERSHORE TOWN'S MANAGER, COMMENTS ON HIS TEAM'S LOSS TO RACING CLUB WARWICK...

THE THOUGHTS OF PERSHORE TOWN'S QUENTIN TOWNSEND, FOLLOWING THE DEFEAT TO RACING CLUB WARWICK...
QUENTIN, RIGHT, DEEP IN THOUGHT AFTER REPLACING HIMSELF...

"I thought that they were one of the best sides we have played this season; their midfield with the rotational play within it was very hard to play against even after we changed our shape after 20 mins.

They have a real strength in depth, highlighted by the fact that Josh Cole and Josh O'Grady were only used subs and Luke Church didn’t even get on the pitch. That’s the sign of a good team.

From our point of view we had a few that had been suffering with flu and to be honest it showed massively. We were second to everything and didn’t keep the ball at all when we did get it. I was extremely disappointed with our display and we have plenty to work on going into 2018.

It was good to see many of their players who I have either played alongside or managed when I was manager at Southam. I am also close to Scotty Easterlow and Andy Taylor, so I wish them well for the rest of the season.

I feel they could surprise a few and finish in the top 4. For us it’s a case of getting everybody in the building week-in, week-out, so we can work on things as a unit and climb up into mid-table and beyond..."

QUENTIN TOWNSEND, MANAGER/PLAYER, PERSHORE TOWN...

Thanks, Quentin...
