CORMORANT CIRCLING, MARAZION...

Cormorant Circling, Marazion…

A cormorant, like an aircraft circling an airport,
Flew past Marazion’s rocky outcrop, windward,
Gale assisted, yet inelegantly flustered, leeward;
Dishevelled and buffeted, its feathers awry and blustered,
It hovered for a moment then battled for land
Where similar birds had mustered,
Sheltered from a wicked tide, seaward
And thus it alighted, its demeanour keen, if awkward…

A cormorant, using the wind to blow past the outcrop of rock off Marazion’s beach, then turn in order to make a treacherous landing…
