It’s The Look…
Sometimes words are unnecessary.
There’s no need to admonish or scold,
Or wave the arms about in anguish or annoyance,
Or stamp the feet or verbally scold.
Sometimes a look will suffice, an accessory
To feelings of warning or disdain untold.
Sometimes an expression can be a conveyance
Of feelings, steadfast, resolute and bold…
It’s the look a badger formulates,
When wary, stubborn and unwilling to retreat,
A look which threateningly berates
An intrusion, its irritation clear, yet silently discreet…
