Mousehole, Consumed By October Dullness…
A long drive endured, road closures in Penzance negotiated,
And fine rain, almost unnoticeably grim, dulled the Cornish sky.
Mount’s Bay’s colour had faded, drained to greyscale,
As the sea lurched choppily and ominously around a pale
St Clement’s Isle, rendered weak green, like mould, its outcrops awry
And a spectral fishing boat creeps by, its presence understated…

A long journey from the Midlands for a stay in Porthtowan but first, a quick stop in Mousehole, where the inclement weather seemed to take away any colour from Mount’s Bay…
