COVENTRY UNITED MANAGER EDWIN GREAVES SPEAKS ABOUT HIS TEAM'S VICTORY AT RACING CLUB WARWICK...

"Once again with so many games falling foul of the weather, you have to congratulate everybody at Racing Club Warwick for getting this game on.

For the 1st time this season I was able to name the same squad of 16 players in back to back games. The pitch was soft underfoot and away from home on a horrible Tuesday night is where points can so easily be dropped.

The lads went about their jobs efficiently and built up a 2-0 lead with goals from Matty Brown and Josh O'Grady. RCW almost scored a goal before half-time when a shot hit a post and bounced clear.

In the 2nd half we extended our lead when Coxy scored, before RCW pulled a goal back and then had the better of the game. Rich Morris had to pull off a couple of important saves but generally we continued to defend well.

We had a few more opportunities to score as RCW tried to get another goal and left a few more gaps.

With so many games called off, this game turned out to be one of our games in hand.
Our main aim tonight was to get the 3 points and extend our lead at the top of the table.

Job done against a RCW side who gave it their all and at times put us on the back foot. I think being honest we controlled the 1st half and went in at half-time with a deserved lead.

The 2nd half was more even and both sides had opportunities to score more goals.
We now look forward to the visit of Hinckley who will be looking for revenge after an early season defeat to us in the league, although they gained revenge by beating us in the Cup.

No easy games for us now and this is a match everybody will have an interest in. Hinckley are a big club and will have a big following but I am hoping the Red and Green Army will come out in force for this game.

I hope to see you all Saturday."
