COVENTRY UNITED'S MARTIN HUTCHCOX WRITES ABOUT THE DEFEAT AT CADBURY ATHLETIC...

"Tonight was a game we were confident going into but still aware that each team wants to raise their game against us. Each game is like a Cup Final to our opposition now and they will put their bodies in and defend for their lives, which is exactly what Cadbury did.

The game started off fairly evenly but after managing to get ahead, we should really have gone on from there but we weren't clinical enough up top. We were sloppy all over, not keeping the ball and not providing the front men with any quality. We were punished for this midway through the 2nd half.

Two identical goals in the space of a few minutes were the sucker punches and although we threw everything at them during the last 10/15 minutes, we couldnt find a way through again, due to the lack of quality that has won us so many games this year.

Nobody was at their best tonight and the feeling afterwards was not something we are used to; however there is absolutely no panic whatsoever...

We know it's still in our hands to win this league but we also know we have to raise our game a lot more, as it wasnt acceptable and was way below our usual high standards last night.

No game on Saturday means we have that little bit longer to get over this and prepare right for Tuesday, which is going to be another scrap and a huge game...

A big thank you to all our support, which again travelled in their numbers and made up the majority of the crowd. It is massively appreciated and we go again chomping at the bit to right the wrongs..."
