NEW MOUSEHOLE POEM: 'BAULKING, BUNCHING...'

Baulking, Bunching…

Beached, vessels’ gunwales carelessly loll,
Like bathers but not quite beauties;
Hulls bunched, hardly in line,
As they await high-tide and a resumption of duties…

Lurched, vessels creak, masts drum,
Like protectors of the harsh shore, baulking;
Hulls hunched, comically in line,
As if awaiting the dreaded resumption of caulking…
