AFC BINLEY'S MANAGER EDWIN GREAVES REPORTS ON HIS TEAM'S 2-2 DRAW v COUNDON COURT OLD BOYS...

"AFC Binley got the game underway and scored with our very first attack, as Tyler Morgan crossed the ball for Ryan Lally to score: 1-0.

We then continued to put Coundon Court Old Boys under a lot of pressure and forced five consecutive corners as we went in search of a 2nd goal.

However, Coundon weathered the storm and began to grow into the game.

In the 17th minute Bennie Adeeko conceded a free-kick which was headed in by the Coundon number 2: 1-1.

The game continued to be very open but neither goalkeeper was tested until the 29th minute when Steven Young forced the Coundon goalkeeper into a regulation save."

Half-time: AFC Binley 1-1 Coundon Court Old Boys...

"The 2nd half started with Coundon forcing us under more pressure and the Coundon number 2 hit the crossbar with another header.

In the 67th minute Coundon took the lead when their number 9 finished well from close range: 1-2.

In the 72nd minute Coundon were awarded a penalty for handball but unfortunately their number 7 had his penalty saved well by Ryan Oldham.

In the 79th minute an Andy Godfrey free-kick was flicked on by Fabian Spence and Tyler Morgan scored: 2-2.

In the 84th minute Blake Kassar was put through on goal and hit the crossbar with his shot but Fabian Spence couldn't force home the rebound.

In the 89th minute Coundon were awarded a disputed corner, which was headed off the goal-line by Fabian Spence."

Full-time: AFC Binley 2-2 Coundon Court Old Boys...

In Summing Up This Game:

"In a game where both sides tried to play football on a difficult pitch, this was entertaining and both sides could have won but a draw was a fair result.

We started the game in excellent fashion, scored a goal in the first minute and put Coundon under a lot of early pressure.

Coundon weathered the storm, got themselves level and then controlled the game to lead.

The turning point was the missed penalty which kept us in the game and we went on to level the scores late on.

Even then we could have snatched all 3 points but we could also have lost the game in the last minute.

Although we dropped 2 points today, I was very happy with what the lads gave me and hopefully we can maintain this form and the level of performance until the end of the season.

Good luck to all at Coundon Court Old Boys for the rest of the season.

Up next for us is RS Sports away, another good test for the lads..."

AFC Binley Manager...
