LONG BUCKBY MANAGER DAN CARTER REFLECTS ON HIS TEAM'S 4-2 WIN v SAFFRON DYNAMO...

"I feel we made harder work of the game than it should have been, but credit goes to the away side for that. Their workrate was high for the 90 minutes and although I always felt that we controlled the game and were never in danger even after going behind, they still had a hope of nicking something if the chance had come about.
I was a bit disappointed with our performance really, for we lacked tempo today and were too casual with our play but we can’t expect to play well in every game.

We have enough quality in the squad though and today showed that, for when we needed to raise it, we did.

We can score goals too, although we should have had a lot more than the four we scored.

There were some pleasing performances again from the centre-backs with Kane Finney coming in for his debut and I was happy for Brad Harris to get a full 90 minutes in midfield under his belt.

My 'man of the match' was Gez McGahey, who worked tirelessly again. He scored a goal and he also managed a couple of assists, although others reckoned Jimmy Smith was the MVP because of his hat-trick... However, I know Jimmy will do that regularly, for he scores goals whether he has the service or not.

All in all another good day at the office and it's now four wins from four and we are top of the table.

I can’t complain..."
