Nets and ropes and rings and buoys
Lie upon a slipway like forsaken toys;
Weathered dwellings huddle with psychedelic doors,
Paint stripped from walls by stormy furores;
Slim chimneys, squat mooring posts and clever lights
Watch fidgety gulls prepare for imminent flights;
And nuts for boats, the artist cheekily sells:
An unconventional twist to seaside shells…
