Timbers dry and parched,
Ribs fractured and arched:
The listing hulk lay,
Its days long exhausted,
Cast aside and astray…
Life awry and unattended,
Form loose and distended:
My feisty bulk remained,
Its use long exhausted,
Pushed aside and disdained…
