Opulence

Smacks you across the face

As you enter concrete and marble

Palaces

Of hotels.

Subservience

Oozes guardedly from smart, uniformed staff,

As you stroll awkwardly on 

Corridors

Of magnificence.

Brilliance

Dazzles your eyes from the décor

As you gasp at the lavishness of

Furnishings

Of luxury.

Iridescence

Gleams from glass and gold,

As you are dazzled relentlessly in

Havens

Of indulgence…
