OLD BIG NOSE... (My poem about the rocky outcrop at Cape Cornwall...)

 Old Big Nose…

He lay as if flattened

By a tidal blast,

Whilst wading off the Cape,

With scooped pollack in his huge calloused hands,

Perhaps.

His nose, as if aligned

With the incongruous monumental chimney

Towering atop the Cape,

Provided a triangle with a huge hypotenuse,

Perhaps.

He remained silhouetted

Against the blues of sea and sky,

Buffeted at the Cape.

A shaded, craggy, huge Charles de Gaulle

Perhaps…

An amazing rock outcrop off Cape Cornwall, near St Just in Penwith reminded me of ex-French

President, Charles de Gaulle…
