Cold Winter…
(Inspired by Theresa Fitton’s painting…)
The blue is ice cold, the grey is dully shabby and the black is charred grim.
The rush of a stream gushes perhaps, powdery charcoal bushes splay crude and dim,
Whilst a row of lean wintering trees claw at the creamy, jaundiced sky
And the raw turmoil conjures up its chill, rendering one’s comforts awry…

For me, this painting has an edge.
It is uncomfortably delicious to look into…
