The sinuous curves of a mountainous landscape soothe
With their pale greys, tipped by the setting sun’s burning
Entrails, beneath a peach and buff, cloud-scarred
Dream of a sky, easing to creams and then to a hint of blue turning.
Vertical pallid, misty beams stream down to feature
Boats, silhouetted upon a placid, delicious ocean,
Moored idling, their spectral reflections fading
In the lingering daylight, bereft of all effective motion…

The boats may well be Jukungs, which are like outrigger canoes and can skim across coral reefs…
