Beer @ 6am…
It was prior to 6am, early morning,
Yet the airport heaved
With taxis, private cars and workforce disruptions,
As just like roller skates on streets
Luggage too rolled on wheels
And were dropped off by the surly yawning…
Before 6am, crowds thronged indiscriminately,
Yet the stomach heaved,
For wine was toasted and beer frothed corruption,
As like revelling clubbers in bars,
Travellers gorged their meals
And were flown off to the sun, imminently…

Birmingham airport, hugely busy at 6am…
Some passengers were drinking wine, others supping pints of beer to accompany full English breakfasts.
I was surprised…
