MICHAEL HEFELE: THE GERMAN CHIEFTAIN...

THE CHIEFTAIN: MICHAEL HEFELE...

German Michael Hefele, ex Dynamo Dresden, led his players by example at the Championship Play Off Final at Wembley, in which Huddersfield Town defeated Reading 4-3 in a penalty shootout, after a 0-0 draw.

Arminius was an ancient chieftain of the Germanic tribe, the Cherusci, a former Roman military officer…

The link seemed to fit…

ARMINIUS...

MICHAEL HEFELE...

Hefele the Chieftain

His hair is fair and long,
Gripped by a warrior’s grim band;
He glares with wild eyes
And his clenched fists squeeze tight:
Hefele the Chieftain in a foreign land
Screams his ancient battle cry
And for Huddersfield’s cause prepares to fight,
Ready to bludgeon, or perhaps to die…
A mercenary, desperate for the prize:
Arminius, leading Town to where they belong…
