AFC BINLEY'S MANAGER EDWIN GREAVES REPORTS ON HIS TEAM'S 4-4 DRAW AGAINST COUNDON COURT OLD BOYS...

Game 5:

"Coundon got the game underway and put us under pressure straight away when their number 7 forced Scott Davis into an early save.

Blake Kassar and Brian Ndlovu then linked up well but Brian was denied a goal with the Coundon goalkeeper pulling off a good save.
Coundon had more opportunities to open the scoring when their number 7 shot wide and their number 10 forced Scott Davis into another save.
In the 22nd minute Coundon's number 3 shot over from a free-kick.

In the 39th minute we took the lead against the run of play, Melusi Mazwi and Brian Ndlovu linking up well on the edge of the 18 yard box, before Brian passed to Andy Godfrey, who gave the Coundon goalkeeper no chance with his shot: 1-0.

Coundon responded well and scored in the 40th minute, when therir number 11 scored, after not being tracked by Melusi Mazwi: 1-1.

In the 41st minute Coundon took the lead when their number 7 cut in from the wing and gave Scott Davis no chance with his shot: 1-2."

Half-time: AFC Binley 1-2 Coundon Court Old Boys...

Kenroy Dennisur and Justin Lang were replaced by Liam Roach and Will Waddell.

On the hour, Brian Ndlovu caused problems with a run and cross and Tyler Morgan scored: 3-3.

Coundon responded again and their number 11 forced an excellent save out of Scott Davis but we broke away and Will Waddell passed to Blake Kassar, who scored: 4-3.

Still more chances were created in the game for us with Tyler Morgan and Brian Ndlovu both denied by saves from the Coundon goalkeeper and Blake Kassar shot just wide too."

Full-time: AFC Binley 4-4 Coundon Court Old Boys...

In Summing Up This Game:

"Coundon soon got a foothold in this game and were unlucky to fall behind to a well worked goal, albeit against the run of play.

We didn't have time to enjoy our luck and not only conceded but also fell behind before half-time.

Coundon increased their lead and with just over half an hour to go we looked down and out.

The lads again to their credit refused to be beaten and somehow managed not only to get back in the game but also get their noses in front.

With 8 minutes to go and Coundon down to 10 men we should have seen out the game but unfortunately we couldn't.

Coundon definitely deserved something out of this game and they caused us problems all match.

Both sides will look at this match as one that they could have won and a contest that both sides could have lost, so for me, both clubs would settle for the draw.

Good luck to all at Coundon Court Old Boys for the remainder of the season.

The Miners Arms M.o.M. was Tyler Morgan..."
