This will be a first visit for me to Broadwell Amateurs and their Marcliff Gloucestershire County League match this Saturday is against Gala Wilton, a team I have been invited to cover previously…
Broadwell currently lie 9th of 16 teams in the league, having won one, drawn one and lost one of their three league matches so far. Their goals ratio is 3-3 and the points total is therefore 4.
A match against Hanbury was postponed on 3rd October but the team’s league matches began with a 2-1 home win v Ruardean Rangers, courtesy of goals by Kristian Burnard and Harry Williams, followed by a 0-0 draw at Rockleaze Rangers. A 2-1 loss at Wick featured a goal by Daniel Latham, then the most recent game, a cup-tie v Hanham Athletic ended 1-1 (Williams the goalscorer) but Broadwell won 3-1 in a penalty shootout.

Thus Williams has two goals overall and I guess he leads the scoring chart, as it is!
Gala Wilton lie 7th in the league table with a pair of wins and a loss, their goals ratio is 7-2 and they have amassed 6 points.
GALA'S JAY DARE...
Gala have had a home match v Frampton called off but they began their season by beating Quedgeley Wanderers 4-0 in their opening league contest, with Ryan Dobbins grabbing a hat-trick and Adam Loveridge netting the other goal. A 2-1 loss at Patchway Town, where Loveridge scored again, was followed by a 0-2 victory at Shirehampton, where Dobbins netted a brace. A cup-tie, last time out proved to be a closer game v Quedgeley, but it was won 3-2 at home, with goals by Dobbins, who nabbed two and a deflected strike by Jack Holmes.
