Fossil Vessel At Portscatho…
The lines of strata lay bereft
Like a fossilised ship wrecked
Upon a weed strewn shore.
The fallen rock was weather worn
Like a hull cruelly torn
Asunder by a persistent storm's furore.
Scored like vessel’s strakes,
The hulk listed awry:
A damaged cliff or maybe a prehistoric boat
Once afloat and spry,
Heckled by an ocean’s vicious roar…

A strange leaning outcrop on the shoreline at Portscatho, which made me think of a fictional, fossilised boat of some kind…
