It fell like a stray arrow,
A dropped quill
Or a used, discarded syringe.
A poisoned arrowhead,
A poisoned pen
Or a poisoned needle to impinge
Upon its target, then explode
In flames and weeping sorrow,
Via a dictator’s misguided will…
It collapsed like a film-set,
A flimsy garden fence
Or fabricated CGI imagery.
A crumbling dread,
A crumbling wall
Or a crumbling effect of savagery
Upon a world geared to implode:
An enemy target with no regret
Via a dictator’s misguided sense…

A council building was nearly demolished by a Russian missile in Kharkiv, then a residential building in Borodyanka was toppled…
