"With the Coventrians game, our last fixture of 2017, it was important we showed a positive reaction after last week's draw.

Credit to Coventrians, they came at us in the opening exchanges just like they did when we played them earlier in the season. They took the lead with a long distance shot- not the greatest of starts- but one that gave us the kick up the arse (buttocks, Sham?) that we needed. We hit back straight away and went into the break at 1-1.

The second-half saw a great intensity which Coventrians couldn't live with, scoring 6 and coming close after every attack. It probably should of been double figures!

Apart from conceding the early goal it was almost a perfect reaction and what a way to end 2017, undefeated in 12 league games and to remain top of the league for a incredible 19 weeks when most teams have played an extra 4 games than us!

We know we have some big games in 2018 but we will take them as one game at a time.
(Sham, that is a terrible cliché...)

Our biggest threat in 2018 is complacency. I won't allow the players to be satisfied where we are, for complacency creates a blatant disregard for what's right.

They can't do what they feel like doing, they have to chose to do things that will help us to achieve the goals we have.

When teams get complacent they lose the respect for winning & that won't be us!
TRAINING? REALLY?

M.O.M against Coventrians is again awarded to Scotty Hammond... After last week's game I set the kid the challenge of getting his positional sense right to build on his performance against Solihull and get amongst the goals. He certainly did that versus Coventrians and one could see the life drain out of their players' faces every time he got the ball.

My job is to encourage Scotty to be more positive, more confident and more decisive in the box!

Yours in football..."
