"Going into the game we knew we had a massive opportunity to go further ahead of the chasing pack with all their games played. 

Credit to Continental Star and the officials for letting the game go ahead but it was a battle from the first minute with the pitch, the elements and a brave Continental Star.

We started brightly and controlled the tempo and style of the game in the first-half and thus with some fantastic build-up play and goals scored, this saw us take a reasonable 3-1 lead into H.T. 

Unfortunately the second-half didn’t live up to the standards we have set ourselves and it was the poorest 45 minutes I have ever seen us be involved in. 

Sometimes you have to give credit to the opposition and yes Continental Star have now scored two second-half goals in consecutive games to peg teams back and but for a late winner we would have dropped points on Saturday!

The players were told in no uncertain terms after the game that they need to be performing better as individuals and as a team.

M.O.M. against Continental Star is awarded to Corey Brooks. He’s one of the players that you wish others would have similar traits to, the work rate and lost causes he would chase made it an easy choice. He was disappointed to not start last week but handled himself well all week and did his talking on the pitch, getting his just rewards!
