GNP SPORTS' MANAGER SHAMIR ALAM LOOKS FORWARD TO THE CLASH v ALCESTER TOWN...

SHAM: "We need to keep improving..."

"With no game over the weekend we are desperate to get back on the field this week and what a top of the league clash awaits us!

We welcome title contenders Alcester Town...

I’ve watched Alcester Town twice now this season and they are a good, hardworking team who will not be fazed facing us and will give it a right go. We are looking forward to the challenge and it will be refreshing for a side to finally come and have a go at us instead of the game turning into a training exercise of attack versus defence.

It’s all well and good their 'gaffer' writing off their title chances however because both clubs still have 18 games left and any team that can put 4 past Bartestree and not so long ago be undefeated in 6 games is dangerous, so mind games aside we know that Alcester will fancy their chances and that makes for a fantastic game ahead...

The last two league games we have played have shown that we need to keep improving and there are certain aspects of our game which need to be better if we are to continue this fantastic run that we are on.

Yes, we have been playing well recently but we all have to look to keep improving and that includes me, our captain, the goalkeeper and indeed the whole squad!

Yours in football..."
