"It was fantastic for my players to get their hands on the league title and those few seconds when your players and coaches lift the league title you tend to have a flashback of all the planning, hard work and ups and down you have experienced to get to this moment. It’s a fantastic feeling because it’s not easy to just win a league; I’m very proud of the players and coaches and I’m happy they are enjoying the success...
We have quality all across the pitch, we can play some fantastic football, we can defend for our lives, we can score goals, we have fantastic individual players, we have leaders if it starts to get tough, we have a complete team and that's why we have been top of the league since the opening day of the season!
Special mention to the Chairman who likes to go under the radar and hide in the background, so I’m pleased I’ve been able to deliver half of what I promised at the start of the season..."
"We still have 3 games to focus on and 9 points up for grabs and we want to win the next 3 games so we can go into the Cup Final full of confidence. Once the Cup Final and the Presentation night are over with, I will sit down with each member of the squad and discuss the plans for next season. I will be loyal to the main group of players, for they deserve the chance to come back to pre-season after winning us the league but we will look to improve every aspect of the club and that includes my staff, players, training, tactics: the whole lot!
