AFC BINLEY MANAGER EDWIN GREAVES REPORTS ON HIS TEAM'S 0-1 SUCCESS AT COVENTRY PLUMBING...

"Coventry Plumbing got the game underway and almost scored in the 2nd minute when Robert Turrall had to clear off the goal-line.

The Plumbing number 7 shot wide and then the Coventry number 8 headed over the crossbar from a corner.

Just after the half-hour, Kenroy Dennisur passed to Sean Ryder, whose shot was fumbled by the Plumbing goalkeeper and Tyler Morgan was the first to react and he scored: 0-1.

Plumbing almost equalised when their number 2 hit the crossbar and Ryan Oldham was also forced into making a good save.

In the 43rd minute Chris Corkery passed to Blake Kassar whose lob beat the Plumbing goalkeeper but went just wide.

Chris Corkery was soon replaced by Curtis Smallwood."

Half-time: Coventry Plumbing 0-1 AFC Binley...

"AFC Binley got the 2nd half underway and the Plumbing goalkeeper made a great double-save from Andy Godfrey and Tyler Morgan, before Blake Kassar was also denied by the custodian.

On the hour, Plumbing's number 7 shot over the target and then the number 10 shot wide, before Ryan Oldham pulled off a good save down to his right from a low shot.

Sean Ryder missed a good chance before he was replaced in the 80th minute by Brendan Hackett.

Plumbing's number 2 then delivered the ball from wide but the number 10 headed over the crossbar and the same forward shot too high again in the 84th minute.

In the 88th minute Tyler Morgan was replaced by Bennie Adeeko.

On 90 minutes the Plumbing goalkeeper denied Blake Kassar and in added time Bennie Adeeko failed to score after going around the Plumbing gloveman.

Finally, Plumbing had a free-kick in the 96th minute which came to nothing."

Full-time: Coventry Plumbing 0-1 AFC Binley...

In Summing Up This Game:

"Plumbing started the better of the two sides and were unfortunate not to take an early lead.

We managed to get a fortunate goal and ultimately all 3 points against a very strong and experienced Plumbing team.

At times we rode our luck but on another day we could have scored 3 or 4 goals ourselves.

The lads again defended well and when they were beaten, 'keeper Ryan Oldham was equal to whatever came his way.

Plumbing put us under a lot of pressure in the 2nd half but we had chances on the break to kill this game off but as it turned out, one goal was enough for us today.

Best of luck to all at Cov. Plumbing for the remainder of your season..."

Edwin Greaves,
AFC BINLEY Manager
