'PIRAN WATERFRONT': A NEW POEM INSPIRED BY ARTWORK FROM NIKA'S TINY HOUSE...

Piran Waterfront
(from the artwork featured by Nika’s Tiny House, Slovenia…)

Lusty blue Adriatic ripples towards a tiny quay,
Nudging at two small vessels moored awry;
Ocean breeze ruffles random washing, hung
Unashamedly across dwellings’ myriad hues:
The homes rising in oblique non-conformity…
And adjacent to windows, disparate yet spry,
Most of the dark shutters lie worn, flung
Flat against walls. But then one begins to muse:

What wonders lie beneath the archway’s shade?
Or what horrors lurk, one’s fears to invade?
