AFC BINLEY'S MANAGER EDWIN GREAVES WRITES ABOUT HIS TEAM'S 4-0 DEFEAT AT RS SPORTS...

"AFC Binley got the game underway but it wasn't long before RS Sports took charge of the game and their first opportunity to score came in the 2nd minute when their number 8 took a shot but Ryan Oldham parried the ball away.

Blake Kassar had a shot saved by the RS goalkeeper's legs but just after the quarter-hour RS took a short corner and their number 15 shot from the edge of the penalty-box to score: 1-0...

Before the half-hour mark Andy Godfrey's cross caused problems for RS but the confusion soon passed after Tyler Morgan's shot was blocked. Prior to the break, Sean Ryder also had a shot but it went wide."

Half-time: RS Sports 1-0 AFC Binley...

"RS Sports got the 2nd half underway and continued to play the better football. Before the hour mark Mtshuza Ncube, Tyler Morgan and Sean Ryder were replaced by Will Waddell, Bennie Adeeko and Paul Govier.

Bennie Adeeko was soon through on goal but he was denied by the RS goalkeeper, before Ryan Oldham dropped a cross and the RS number 8 scored from close range: 2-0...

Blake Kassar passed to Paul Govier but his shot was saved by the RS goalkeeper and 13 minutes from the end, RS increased their lead when the number 9 scored: 3-0...

In the 85th minute the RS number 18 showed good strength on Robert Turrall before scoring: 4-0..."

Full-time: RS Sports 4-0 AFC Binley...

In Summing Up This Game:

"RS were the better team from start to finish in this game and truly deserved their victory.

We struggled all over the pitch today and got exactly what we deserved: nothing.

Full credit goes to RS who did what they needed to do on the day.

For us now we have to lick our wounds, get over this performance and the defeat as quickly as possible, and put it down to just one of those days.

Plenty of points still to play for and hopefully we can keep our promotion dream alive a little longer."

Edwin Greaves,
AFC BINLEY MANAGER
