MOUSEHOLE: LIGHT IN DARK...

 Mousehole: Light In Dark…

Celtic cross of Cornish light-bulbs

Stands forlornly,

Tentatively, if seasonably decorating

A rocky outcrop:

A gulls’ haven,

Defying the elements, stubbornly…

Long beads of Cornish rainwater

Run vertically,

Impressively, if delicately, striating

A black window:

A guest’s outlook,

Defiling the cross, cynically…

Pete Ray

Cross lit up on St Clement’s Island, off Mousehole and rain dripping down a hotel window…
