CAPE CORNWALL TOTEM...

 Cape Cornwall Totem…

Like the anguished expression

Upon a sculpted face at the crest

Of an Alaskan totem pole,

The crude, weathered, jagged icon

Seemingly screams, bellowing into the face

Of storm, gale and vicious tide…

Of the tortured Cornish soul.

The wild, tethered, rugged beacon

Sullenly agonises upon Cape Cornwall’s face,

From squall, wind and savage tide…
