Fruitful Harvest III: Idle At Falmouth…
Constructed in Fraserburgh, Scotland,
The ailing vessel was once registered
In Grimsby as a fly-shooter and trawler in its heyday
But latterly used as a pleasure boat;
Neglected in Falmouth, England,
The flailing vessel has since festered
In the harbour, rusting, its livery peeling away
And lately fortunate to remain afloat…
A wry cormorant looked on with polite resignation
At the idling vessel’s blithe indignation:
Fruitful Harvest III, deprived of demarkation,
GY 991, its once proud registration…
