Penlee In The Abstract…
Dawn was perplexed in its attempt to throw some light
Upon Mounts Bay, trapped beneath the lingering disdain
And remnants of the night, with its glum cloud spewing fine Cornish rain
Along the Newlyn road until Penlee Caravan Park came into sight.
An image taken with my cellphone, quite by chance,
Was affected by the weather and my sudden evasive shift,
So that the clarity became distorted, merging into an unintentional gift:
A dull view transformed and by warping, an abstraction enhanced…
