EDWIN GREAVES WRITES ABOUT AFC BINLEY'S 4-0 WIN v DUNLOP RESERVES...

"Dunlop got the game underway but it was definitely us on the front foot. In the 4th minute a pass from Sebastian Kassar found Tyler Morgan in space but unfortunately he shot wide.

In the 8th minute a Kyle Metcalfe run at the Dunlop defence was rewarded when his pass found Fabian Spence whose shot gave the Dunlop goalkeeper no chance: 1-0.

We had several other opportunities to increase our lead but poor finishing and poor decision making meant we didn't add to our tally.

Half-time: 1-0.

In the 2nd half the lads came out a little more focused and we added to our lead in the 48th minute when Justin Lang found Fabian Spence in space, who again gave the Dunlop goalkeeper no chance with his shot: 2-0.

In the 65th minute Fabian Spence returned the favour when he forced a mistake from the Dunlop defence and Justin Lang finished well: 3-0.

In the 72nd minute we scored the goal of the game.
Danny Vincent started the move from inside our own half and continued his run, then an inch perfect pass from Justin Lang found Danny, who still had a lot to do but finished well: 4-0.

In the closing stages of the game Prince Kandemiiri had a couple of opportunities and was unlucky not to score.

Full-time: 4-0.

In summing up this game:

After getting a early goal we controlled this game but were very wasteful in front of goal today and our decision making going forward was poor.

In the 2nd half we were much better in both of those areas. Dunlop kept going for the whole of the game but struggled to create any clear cut chances as our defence worked hard to restrict them to long range shots and we were all happy to keep our first clean sheet of the season.

No more league action for us for the next couple of weeks but up next for us is a difficult Bedworth Nursing Cup home fixture versus Coventrians from the MFL Division 3.

This will be a great test for the lads and another big day for the club."
