FC STRATFORD'S DAVE POULSON & GNP SPORTS' SHAMIR ALAM LOOK FORWARD TO THEIR SEMI-FINAL CLASH TOMORROW EVENING...

FC STRATFORD v GNP SPORTS: THE MANAGERS’ VIEWS…

FIRST UP: GNP BOSS SHAMIR ALAM…

“FC Stratford’s loss on Saturday makes them even more dangerous for Tuesday’s game & no doubt Dave Poulson will have his team fired up and expecting a big reaction.

This is a team that hasn't lost a home league game since April 2017 and if you break down their goals scored and their goals conceded, it's identical to ours, so we won't be looking into their loss on Saturday much at all.

FC like to pass the ball and keep it for long periods of time, so we will look to keep the ball longer than them on their own pitch, so that it makes for a great advert for Division 3 football!

I believe two new Stratford signings are from Coventry Copsewood but I've never heard of them, in truth and the lad from America we recognise from when we beast Solihull 0-5. He came on for the last 2 minutes. My Secretary informs me they will be cup-tied so I will pay more attention to them in the league game in March.

For us, Ryan Price is cup-tied and we have a few players missing due to work commitments.

We have one possible signing we are trying to get over the line this week and will hopefully have an announcement after the FC game but let's wait and see. A lot of things can go wrong between now and then but that will be our final signing of the season unless we were to get a string of injuries.

Our facilities unfortunately don't match our ambitions although we did have numerous conversations with the University but any ground upgrading just wasn't possible. The club have backed me, my coaching staff and my squad and now it's our job on the football pitch to ensure we repay the club with 13 Cup Finals in the league to win it…

However, the only game that matters now is versus FC Stratford on Tuesday night!”

HERE ARE THE VIEWS OF FC STRATFORD’S DAVE POULSON, WHOSE CLUB IS HOSTING THE EVENT…

“The game against GNP for me has now become more about rebuilding some confidence.

Our form has been indifferent when we have managed to play games and we are coming into this on the back of a heavy defeat.

GNP have obviously maintained their great run so we know that this is going to be a very tough game.

We are not the sort of side to sit back, so hopefully it will be an entertaining game, but more importantly I just want us to give a good account of ourselves…”
