SHAMIR ALAM, THE GNP SPORTS MANAGER, WRITES ABOUT HIS TEAM'S RECENT WIN AT SHIPSTON EXCELSIOR...

"For all the praise and plaudits we know there are still some parts of our game we need to improve on and be better at".

"Massive praise has to go to Shipston for getting the game on and wanting to play. It was my first experience of Shipston and fair play to everyone at the club. We look forward to welcoming them in the reverse fixture, as they were fantastic with us before, during and after the game.

Going into the Shipston game it was important we followed up on our 5-0 away win with another set of cherries and another clean sheet. I've talked for weeks about the need to be more ruthless and the boys are now certainly playing with a point to prove.

We were good in attack, defensively and on the transition. There were some good team goals and some fantastic individual ones to help us increase our goal tally. More importantly, it's another clean sheet and another three points which takes us to 3 wins in a row now. We could and should have scored more if it wasn't for the woodwork and some great goal-line defending.

With no fixture on Saturday 10th February it's come at a good time as we enter a busy week with 3 games in 7 days. I'm going to need my full 19 man squad to pull together to get another 3 wins!

M.O.M. against Shipston goes to James Bryson; he's only been with us for 6 games but he's quickly turning into Mr Consistent. It feels like he's been with us since June. I've been drilling him for weeks that he needs to start scoring to take his game to the next level and so two goals with a clean sheet at Shipston means that I couldn't ask for much more.
BRYSON, SECOND FROM RIGHT...

Despite Bryson's impressive start to life with GNP it depends on him if he wants to get better and hopefully he has the desire to improve and can become a match winner for us each week!

Yours in football..."
