THE AFC BINLEY MANAGER EDWIN GREAVES REPORTS ON HIS TEAM'S 4-0 WIN v COVENTRY COLLIERY RESERVES...

"Coventry Colliery Reserves got the game underway and both sides played attractive football.

Neither side created any clear-cut chances until the 26th minute.

A long ball forward from Sebastian Kassar found the run of Fabian Spence who beat the Colliery goalkeeper with a low shot: 1-0.

Colliery became more of an attacking threat and almost levelled the scores in the 36th minute when good work from the right created an opportunity for the Colliery number 8 whose header was well saved by Ryan Oldham.

We had another opportunity to score but Tatenda Bako shot wide."

Half-time: AFC Binley 1-0 Coventry Colliery Reserves.

"The 2nd half started and we soon doubled our lead in the 49th minute with a good team goal; Fabian Spence, Andy Godfrey and Tatenda Bako all linked up before passing to Tyler Morgan who crossed the ball for Bennie Adeeko to score from close range:   2-0.

The goal of the game came in the 55th minute when Tyler Morgan received the ball in the Colliery half and went on a mazy run, beating 3 Colliery players before holding off another 2 and scoring past the Colliery goalkeeper: 3-0.

In the 72nd minute Bennie Adeeko and Kyle Metcalfe were replaced by Blake Kassar and Will Waddell.

More opportunities came our way when an Andy Godfrey cross was headed wide by Tyler Morgan and a Will Waddell free-kick found Kenroy Dennisur, whose header forced an excellent save from the Colliery goalkeeper.

In the 78th minute Tyler Morgan found himself through on goal but although he beat the Colliery goalkeeper, his shot went wide.

On 80 minutes Tyler Morgan was replaced by Zach Garland.

In the 83rd minute Andy Godfrey and Fabian Spence linked up to create an opportunity for Blake Kassar but the Colliery goalkeeper pulled off another good save.

Zach Garland created another opportunity for Fabian Spence who shot wide, before setting up Blake Kassar in the 88th minute who made no mistake from close range: 4-0."

Full-Time: AFC Binley 4-0 Coventry Colliery Reserves.

In Summing Up This Game:

"These players always seem to bounce back after a setback.

In a fairly even 1st half when there wasn't much between the two sides, we got the all important goal and a slender lead.

In the 2nd half half the lads found more space and created more chances, which I was so happy to see them take today.

We played some good football today and hopefully now the lads can become a little more consistent.
Colliery worked hard and made us work even harder for our 3 points but we deserved our win today. The best of luck to all at Coventry Colliery for the remainder of the season.

At the current time we are not down for a fixture next week, which is a shame after today's performance."

AFC Binley Manager
